Finance

The Council's sole source of income is the Parish Precept which it sets each year (usually at the December meeting) and which is then collected as part of the overall Council Tax bill, although the full amount is remitted to the Parish Council each April. The precept for 2022/23 is £3,900 (2021/22: £3,900).

As well as settling administrative costs and making payments towards particular projects, the Council is able, from available funds, to make grants to individuals/groups, approval being usually, though not exclusively, limited to those for the benefit of the village.(It is however the Council's current policy that applications by external charities for donations will not be approved.)

Applications for grants should be made in writing to the Clerk prior to the following meeting's agenda being published.

The Council's annual accounts are subject to an internal and external audit. The books and records are also available for inspection by residents during a specified period, notice of which is displayed on the notice board around mid-April each year.
